Believe it or not, this is how I pay attention.

Grillax Invitation

April 27, 2011

This was a fun piece for a work party. In celebration of finishing up some pretty large projects the Rain Bird account team decided to throw a little Grill Out.

Thanks to Jon Lundeen who wrote the copy and partnered with me on this fun concept. Also thanks to Ben Swift for helping print the aprons.

Screen Ink and Adam White are putting on a benefit show to support Red Cross relief efforts in Japan this First Friday April 1,2011.

Here is the piece that I am donating for the cause.

Dinner Time Poster

March 16, 2011

Here is a little tasty nugget that I am excited to share with everyone, Local Hero Design and I had a great idea for me to design a couple of art posters for their store. Here is the first of what I am hoping is a nice series of pieces. These are only available trough their on-line store so buy yours before they run out.

Dinner Time Poster

I now have a Big Cartel store with two new Ninja t-shirt designs as well as the original Ninja “Face” shirt.

Make sure you check out the store and get your shirt while they last. lightningholt.bigcartel.com

To get things started I have the shirts priced at $18.00 per shirt plus shipping. They will go up in price at the end of the month so make sure you catch the jump off sale.

Here we go, so I had a hand full of these shirts made earlier this year and apparently didn’t get the right sizes, I have had requests for child sizes and smalls for women. To make sure I get the right sizes I am doing a pre-sale. I have set up a paypal button for you to order yours today just go to the link and select the size you need and if you don’t live in Lincoln, NE the shipping option so I can send it out to you. Oh by the way these shirts are only available in black with white printed on them.
I am hoping to have these printed by mid December and out for Christmas, which means I will only be taking pre-sale orders till Monday November 21st.

YWCA Art & Sole Silent Auction

September 22, 2010

On the 21st of October the YWCA in Lincoln, NE will be having their second annual fund raiser dinner and silent auction at the Lincoln Country Club, If you are interested by chance in attending tickets are $40.00 per plate and you can contact me for more info on those tickets.

What this event is, is a combination of designer shoes and art work to be auctioned off silently though the night there will also be a dinner provided by the amazing staff of the Country Club.

A while back a friend asked me to help and use my network to gather donations for the art portion of this event, so far I have some amazing work rolling in from talented artists I have happened to have the opportunity of meeting over time. I have also decided to donate a piece for this event (I hope it is well received).

Here is the piece I have put together for this, the idea behind it is the happiness of youth, I watch my kids when they chew gum or when I blow bubbles and I listen to their laugh and how much fun they think it is and how cool they think I am for being able to blow bubbles, this makes me realize how great it is to have a child’s innocence.

Budget Invite

September 22, 2010

This is a little piece I put together for my daughter’s birthday invitations, I wanted to do something exciting and fun since that what she is. So for a Rock and Roll themed party for a seven year old I mixed magenta, black, custom type, a rubber stamp, and make shift stickers to create a pretty fun invite to match the special little girl.

Enjoy.

NEW.

September 15, 2010

This has been a busy summer, and I feel like I have been away from doing any side projects which results in a lack of posts. Just a summer recap I went on a nine day vacation to  San Diego, Vegas, and southern Utah only to start moving into a new apartment the day I got home. The next week I was offered a position at swanson • russell, an ad agency here in Lincoln, NE. A couple of weeks later I started the new job and had about enough of the lemon of a car I purchased just over two years ago. With a little luck and a small miracle I was able to get out from underneath that heap and into a new vehicle.

So here I sit trying to get settled into all of the new things in my life and hopefully soon I will finish up some things that have been in the works so I can start posting some new things.

The BiiKlOPS Poster show is this First Friday July 2, 2010 at Screen Ink. I am sure this will prove to be a great time as are all of the art shows at Screen Ink. There will be dozens of posters by 30 different artists expressing their love of bicycles. Can’t wait to see all of the work.

Check out the article in the local Lincoln, NE paper covering the show.
