Toy Show
June 25, 2009
A couple of people had asked me if I was going to put together a vinyl toy show after the success of The Freestyle 50, I was kicking around the idea when my friend Peter(Pocketwookie) introduced me to Kevin from Toy2R. Kevin and I got together this week and talked about specifics for the show and it looks like we are going to put together one KICKASS 8 inch QEE show. The show is set for October 2nd at The Public shoe store in Lincoln, NE.

What other job could you spend all day doing silly stuff like building bridges from popsicle sticks, I am sure all of the accounts, paper pushers, and customer service people at my place of employment(in-house design corporate America) HATES ME.

So a good friend on mine, who is a very talented photographer, had time in her absolutely busy schedule to take some wonderful photos of me and my kids, and a few of my lovely girlfriend and myself. Please follow the attached link to Khara’s blog to view her favorite pics from our shoot.

Dress Yourself Campaign

Here is some stuff I did for work, I have neglected to post this stuff for whatever reason. These posters were part of a campaign within high schools to push students to use studentedge.com. Each posters talks towards a feature of the site (career path, test prep, financial aid, and school matching). Trevor Meyer was my copy writer on this project.
THE FREESTYLE 50

The Freestyle 50 could not have been better. Had a great time I got to talk to tons of fantastic people and meet some of the artists involved that I didn’t know. I will deffinitely be doing this next year. Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and dedication. And for everyone that attended thank you for such a positive event and feedback.
Here are the three boards I did for the show. The two blue ones are still for sale.

The Freestyle 50

So I have neglected my blog for a bit, I have been pretty busy with work, freelance, my kids, and this other thing called the Freestyle 50. This is an art show that my friend Jeremie Memming and I had started talking about almost two years ago. Well between Jeremie and my GF I was motivated into putting together this potentially remarkable art show where we feature local Nebraska artists (38 to be exact) work on 50 skateboards. Here are teasers of the three boards that I painted for the show. For those of you anywhere close to Lincoln, Nebraska please make time to come to the show on June 5th 2009 at Screen Ink.
