Well I have decided to enter this logo in the Nebraska chapter of the AIGA call for entries show.

Day of the Dead

For some reason I have been really wanting to do day of the dead skulls I think I was inspired by MAXX242. This is a little piece I did on cardboard with ink.

RETRACTION

Well I feel like an Idiot. I posted a few days ago givin props to Hydro74 and TWhite. In that post I said that they were from SoCal… I am wrong. My mistake, I don’t know where I came up with that. They are in Florida. Sorry guys my mistake.  Please don’t mock me too bad.

Still employed

Many of you may not know this but I recently was in risk of losing my job. The company I work for just made some major layoffs across the country and we lost four in my department only one of them was a designer though. It is a sad time for all and we had to say good bye to too many friends, with luck all will be good for them. I wish them the best of luck.

New type piece

I Have been working on this type piece for  a friend. This is made for a T shirt but on the Tee I will not be using the flames. Hope you like.

Givin props

I wanted to take the time to give some props and show some respect to a couple of illustrators that I am a huge fan of. Most of you know of the artist Hydro 74, this guy is amazing and at the same time seems to come off very modest and down to earth. Another artist that I want to throw out there is Troy White, These two designers are out of Southern California and from what I know of them through there own blogs they are friends. I have know idea if I will ever get to meet these guys or if they will ever read this blog but I can only aspire to be half as good as they are and to do good design.

This is something fun for myself. I have been trying to improve my illustration skills both digitally and on paper. This is a work in progress but I am happy with where it is and where it is going.

Stencil Poster

My sister in law is a bass player and she asked me to do a cool poster for here. Now she is a poor college student and I am a poor designer so I figured I could cut some stencils and spray them on some cardboard sheets. The poster turned out decent, at least she was happy with it.

New T-Shirt Piece

A friend of mine is a bartender at this rock n roll bar here in Lincoln, just some hole in the wall joint by the airport, he asked me to put something together for the bar since the shirts they had before were pretty lame. I hope this is a little better.
